Is this a problem for marketers with many web sites who create numerous accounts for marketing?

Copied from a post on a message board:

I just went to sign up for a new gmail account to use for RSS submission and social bookmarking.
To my surprise I now have to supply a mobile phone number, and can’t activate the account without an SMS code sent to that phone.

I don’t have a mobile phone, can I sign up?

If you’d like to sign up for a Gmail address, you need to have a mobile phone that has text-messaging capabilities.
If you don’t have a phone, you may want to ask a friend if you can use his or her number to receive a code. Also, if you know someone who already has a Gmail address, you can ask them to email an invitation to you.

And Google’s reported take on the issue:

One of the reasons we’re offering this new way to sign up for Gmail is
to help protect our users and combat abuse. Spam and abuse protection
are two things we take very seriously, and our users have been very
happy with the small amount of spam they’ve received in Gmail. We take
many measures to ensure that spammers have a difficult time sending
their spam messages, getting these messages delivered, or even
obtaining a Gmail address (spammers will often use many different
addresses to send spam). Sending invitation codes to mobile phones is
one way to address this, as the number of addresses created per phone
number can be limited.

If you’re planning to set up lots of sites for your promotion efforts, you would end up registering the same mobile number a lot.

This initially seems to create a major obstacle as Google may notice once you’ve registered a certain number of gmail accounts and step in somehow? Or even cancel your free account? Many people always felt the anonymity of gmail was its biggest advantage, now that’s beginning to “disappear”.

It is not a problem if you have at least one domain with a web hosting account anywhere, especially if it has cpanel.

Just go to cPanel-> mail – > Forwarders – > Add Forwarder and enter the name you want for the new email address in the “Address to Forward box and select the domain you wish to use. Enter your primary email address in the box “Destination Forward to email address:” Click on Add Forwarder and you have a new email address.

If you need to set up a new account for this I strongly recommmend Hostmonster, I have been with them for over a year and they have a 100% satisfaction rating from me.

Are you often annoyed by having to manually update your blogs with new fresh content regularly.

I know I hate this tedious task as much as you.

I have tried using content from RSS feeds as a solution.

But I am sure you are aware, it will make a website that Search Engine bots love, but Live Visitors leave just a fast as the bots do and spend just as much.

RSS feeds only pull a summary usually limited to 50-60 words to your blog from the feed.

So if a visitor really wants to read it, he must go to the source to continue reading thus probably GONE FROM YOUR SITE.

You are losing visitors rather than converting them into customers!

Here’s a fast and powerful alternative that will automatically place QUALITY articles on your blog.

AutomaticBlog Plugin obtains fresh new articles daily and posts them automatically to your WordPress blog.

But it gets better you have control over the frequency of the update process, and can adjust it so that AutomaticBlog will post to a random time within a window that you set so that it appears as a natural act rather than an automatic post.

You get COMPLETE ARTICLES to your blog, at least 300 words long! It’s so simple, just “Wind it up and turn it loose”

You set it up in less than 3 minutes and then it works automatically! Hurry over…

Go ahead and get your copy

And, if you have any problems with the installation, just contact me and I will be glad to help.

P.S. The Author actively supports the program with free upgrades and often adds features based on user input.
